Women4IT Project - Breakfast Meeting - Tuesday 18 August at 11am.

Women4IT presents an exciting opportunity for companies in Ireland interested in hiring qualified and trained staff for one or more of the following roles:

  • Digital Media Executive
  • Graphic Designer
  • Customer Service Representative
  • Tester
  • Junior Web Developer
  • Data Analyst

About Women4IT

Women4IT is a a multi-stakeholder partnership funded by the EEA Grants and the Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment. The ICS is one of 9 partners involved in the  project.

The initiative aims to select and train 120 young women in Ireland for existing digital and ICT jobs.  We are planning an innovative blended training experience for each of the above mentioned job profiles.

A critical piece of the project is to involve potential employers who have a commitment to diversity and social responsibility and an interest in employing young, dynamic, well-trained staff.

About the Training

Each trainee will receive 160 hours of tailored training, delivered by SureSkills Ltd. over eight weeks, starting in September 2020. At the end of the training, the young women will be available for employment, as the ultimate goal is to secure digital jobs for these young women.

Our training road-maps are designed to be adapted to facilitate the supporting employer’s needs e.g. an alternative software tool may be taught or workplace learning units may be inserted into the road-map.

Contingencies are being planned to enable training to proceed in keeping with public health restrictions due to COVID-19. The ICS team will also provide a mentor for each young woman to support her and liaise with the trainers.

Have your say and learn more - breakfast meeting 18 August 2020

We intend to work closely with employers in order to integrate industry/company specific skills to the training curriculum.

If you wish to learn more about the initiative, we are holding an online breakfast meeting on Tuesday 18 August at 11am. This will give you the opportunity to get more information and to interact in real time with the project’s participants.
